Question and Answer

How can I save and run a search I have created?

Why save a search?
If you periodically search for titles by the same author, or on the same subject, you can save your search and run it again later. This saves you time, especially if the search you’re doing is complex. Find out how in this help article.

Want to have saved search results emailed to you? Follow these three steps to use RSS feeds to set up email updates with a third party service.

  1. Every search in the catalog includes an RSS link at the bottom of the page.
  2. Following the RSS link takes you to the feed page, which includes the URL for the feed.
  3. Using that URL, you can set up services that provide email notifications when the feed is updated, including Blogtrottr and If This Then That (IFTTT). IFTTT gives you more options for receiving emails, but Blogtrottr is faster to set up.

Just want to know about new movies? Click Explore in the menu, and New Titles. You can tab between items that just arrived in the libraries, and those still on order. If you limit the format to DVD in On Order, you can be among the first to place holds on new movies!

Just want to know what books are popular? Click Explore in the menu, and then Bestsellers, to view what’s trending in publishing, including what’s available right now for checkout.

Did you have Saved Searches in the previous catalog? They will still function the same way as before, but they will not transfer to the new catalog. For more information about Saved Searches in the Alternate Catalog, click Help and Saved Searches.
