To get a library card
If you are getting a Washington County / WCCLS library card for the first time, you can register for a digital access-only library card online (*Washington County residents only) or you can visit any Washington County library with your photo ID and proof of current address.

To replace or update a library card
If you have lost your WCCLS library card, or would like to "upgrade" your card from a digital card (starts with E) to a general library card, you can get a replacement card at any Washington County library. Please bring a photo ID and proof of your current address. Libraries do not mail new cards out.
To find your library card number
If you can log into your account, you can view your library card number under My Settings. At the top of this page, right under your username, you will see Barcode. Click on "display" to show your library card number.
You can also find your library card number in Libby. Sign into Libby and select the Libby icon (in the center of the bottom row of icons). This will show your Your Libraries. If you have multiple libraries here, make sure that Washington County Cooperative Library Services is selected (it will have a star by it). Select Manage Cards and it will show you the library card in Libby. The default option is that this card will display your WCCLS library card number.
If neither of these options work for you, you can either:
- Contact your local library. Library staff will need to verify your account, by viewing photo ID and confirming other information on your account, like address, phone number, and/or email address.
- Contact us to request your library card number. Please provide your contact information (current address, phone number, email address) so that we can verify your account. If the information matches what is on your account, we'll be able to provide your library card number via email.
Does WCCLS have digital library cards? Can I save my WCCLS library card to a digital wallet?
WCCLS does not currently offer digital library cards. If the digital wallet app on your phone lets you add pictures or manually enter card information, you can add your WCCLS library card to your wallet this way.
